One-X Quick Edition wins VoiceCon Award VoiceCon Spring(R), produced by CMP Media, today announced Avaya and Cisco Systems as the co-recipients of the Best in VoiceCon(R) award, which recognizes new and exceptionally compelling enterprise voice communications solutions. Both companies received an equal amount of votes, which were submitted by attendees on the VoiceCon Spring 2006 exhibition floor after visiting exhibitors' booths. Avaya was awarded this honor for the one-X(TM) Quick Edition, while Cisco won for the company's submission of the Cisco Unified Communications System.

"This year's significant number of Best in VoiceCon award entrants constitutes an elite group of the enterprise voice industry's top players," said Fred Knight, VoiceCon General Manager. "We are delighted to present Avaya and Cisco with the 2006 Best in VoiceCon award."

To be eligible for the Best in VoiceCon(R) Award, entrants must be a VoiceCon Spring 2006 exhibitor in good standing. The product or service must be new and officially announced with a published ship/launch date during the week of VoiceCon Spring 2006 or any time since March 200. Core technology releases, enhancements and upgrades are eligible. The winners were selected from a group of 28 finalists who submitted products for the Best in VoiceCon Award.

VoiceCon Spring 2006 has been the largest VoiceCon event in the 16-year history of the show, with over 5,000 attendees and 120 exhibitors present at the Gaylord Palms. VoiceCon Spring 2006 will conclude on Thursday, March 9. For 16 years, VoiceCon has delivered practical, forward-thinking, objective information and education focused on enterprise voice, IP telephony and converged technologies, products and services. VoiceCon was also recently named a recipient of Tradeshow Week's Fastest 50 award, which is presented to the fifty fastest-growing events in the North America trade show industry.
