Cooper Wheelock is a division of Cooper Menvier, a Cooper Industries, Ltd. company.  Cooper Industries is a global manufacturer of electrical products, tools and hardware.  Founded in 1833, the firm is headquartered in Houston, Texas.  Cooper employs approximately 29,000 people at over 100 locations around the world.  It operates nine divisions:  Cooper B-Line, Cooper Bussman, Cooper Crouse-Hinds, Cooper Hand Tools, Cooper Lighting, Cooper Menvier, Cooper Power Systems, Cooper Power Tools and Cooper Wiring Devices.  Wheelock brand products will continue to be offered through our existing customer base and distribution network.

Cooper Wheelock's most popular line of strobes and combination audible speaker strobes specifically designed for fire life safety applications and meeting ADA applications while meeting the latest requirements of NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code), UFC (Uniform Fire Code), ANSI 117.1 (American National Standard for Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities), UL Standard 1971 (Signaling Devices for the Hearing Impaired) and L Standard 1638 for Indoor/Outdoor use, as well as, UL Standard 464 (Audible Signaling Devices) and UL Standard 1480 (Speaker Appliances).  Specific products are now UL Listed under Standard 864, 9th edition.
